House Fails to Pass Bill, Dow Drops 777 Points

I just heard this on the business news, and I thought some of you might find it interesting:

Cost of package in Congress to *begin* fixing economic mess: $700 Billion
Drop in today’s TOTAL value in the stock market: $1,400 Billion
Change in the Value of the Dow Jones Industrial Average: 777 points

For the fact checkers out there, I heard this on CNBC on Sept. 29, 2008, after market close.

So the loss in value in today’s market drop is over TWICE the value of the package.

whew…

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

MSNBC Attacks The Church

As most of you know, this site has always been about unity in Christ through essential Christian doctrine. We have never shied away from criticizing cult-like religions like mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and others, since they fall outside the pale of orthodoxy, but we stand strongly “arm in arm” with those that are part of the genuine Church – the Body of Christ. Indeed, criticizing cult-like religions and defending the true faith is part of our obligation to contend for the faith as described in scripture:

3Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

4For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jude 3-4

The essentials of our faith are not difficult to understand. Martin Luther once said that the essential messages of the Bible are so clear that a child can understand them. Although cults and false teachings have been around since the beginning, we feel compelled to come to the defense of those that attack the true Church. Most of us have minor differences in our Christian beliefs even within the same Church organization. While I am not a member of the Assemblies of God, I feel led to come to their defense since I consider the organization as part of mainstream Christendom. We may have our occasional disagreements in doctrine within the Church and between denominations, but these are differences within the family. The constant ongoing attacks against the Church by the Obama campaign and MSNBC have crossed that line that should never be crossed, and they are now attacking my brothers and sisters in Christ. Apparently the “god” of MSNBC and Barack Hussein Obama believes in abortion, infanticide, gay marriage, and all the other causes embraced by the ultra-liberal left.

MSNBC Mocks the Church

The supposed “Separation between Church and state” (not in the Constitution) is now being used by media bigots like MSNBC to convince Christians that we should have no say in politics. Apparently the Assemblies of God denomination is not “good enough” for the heathen based MSNBC, obsessed with all things liberal. It is not just “important” for Christians to be involved in government, it is vital, and when Christians stop protecting their rights as guaranteed by the FIRST amendment to the US Constitution, those rights disappear.

Contend for the Faith

MSNBC has been routinely trashing Christianity in general for quite some time, and holding up some denominations to ridicule that demonstrates its true belief system, and points to the master to whom MSNBC reports. The reason for these recent attacks, of course, are based on Sarah Palin’s prior membership in this Church. These personal attacks and sexist insults coming from MSNBC and the Obama campaign should be warning signs to fellow Christians. Remember that the next target of the MSNBC and Obama smear machine just might be YOU and YOUR CHURCH.

When you attack a brother in Christ you attack me too… so yes, I take this attack personally, even if I am not a member of the Assemblies of God Church. Based on the vicious and bigoted attacks by MSNBC and its parent organization NBC on the Church, and their clear abandonment of any pretense of being a source of unbiased news, we would like to encourage readers to boycott this media tool of the Socialist party. Given its last place in the ratings, it sounds like many of you have already made that decision.

Obama’s lack of curiosity is becoming a liability

Obama Ad Hits McCain for Being Computer Illiterate

Barack Obama steps in it~~again!  Barack Hussein Obama II certainly is demonstrating his superior lack of judgement for all to see. Do we want someone who is commander-in-chief to look at “facts” and make judgements with no background knowledge, or has no curiosity as to why? It appears his lack of curiousity is also highlighting a  severe lack of his management capabilities. If he was curious, he would have asked why John Mc Cain doesn’t use email before spent peoples hard earned money running it!

As the Boston Globe notes 0n March 4, 2000:

“McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain’s severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes. Friends marvel at McCain’s encyclopedic knowledge of sports. He’s an avid fan – Ted Williams is his hero – but he can’t raise his arm above his shoulder to throw a baseball.”

To make matters worse, it happens that John does use the internet, and certainly understands the importance of it, according to this interview in the NY Times (link) on July 13,2008.

While this certainly once again highlights Senator Obama’s poor judgement and analytical skills, it also highlights something much more important. It highlights how lacking Senator Barack Obama is in life experience in his management skills, of which one of the most important aspects will be his time management skills and judgement.

Senator Mc Cain has  proven leadership experience in the US Navy where he had to manage and delegate responsibilities. Senator Mc Cain has  also expressed in interviews that he prefers to talk to people over written communication. Anyone involved in management today can tell you the many problems that are encountered in dealing with issues via e-mail, because of how often they are misinterpreted. In fact, the standard managerial advice is NOT to email people about important issues, as they lack intonation, facial expression and the run the risk of  being misinterpreted.

Again, we really don’t expect Senator Obama to understand this because of his inexperience in management, but every time we forget he reminds us once again, when it comes to executive matters– he does not even grasp the position he is seeking!

Remembering the 9/11 Attacks from the “Religion of Peace”: Islam

This is the seventh anniversary of the attacks on America by the subscribers to the so called “religion of peace”. I just thought some of you needed a little reminder of this FACT:

Here was the reaction in the Muslim world to the death of thousands, with cheers going up and celebration candy being passed out on the streets:

“Teach your children well” indeed. Don’t think for a minute that the “religion of peace” is finished attacking America.

Of course the perpetrators of this act of war are now burning in hell… and still looking for those “72 virgins” in their fiery new home for eternity. Their is only ONE faith that will keep YOU from joining them in their home in hell: Christianity.

Jesus said “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.” (John 14:6)

God bless you all,
Job.

World Did Not End Yesterday – CERN Paranoia

The CERN “Large Hadron Collider” paranoia has really taken the world by storm. This is the world’s biggest particle accelerator (atom smasher) that just went online, and some were concerned that it would destroy the earth.

When I was a grad student in the Stanford Physics department I used to jog around the electron-positron storage rings without a worry (of course not while it was running). I suppose there were people that were worried that the Stanford accelerator could destroy the world. The important thing for physicists to keep in mind is that we need to provide assurances that we are not going to destroy the world. Since the beginning of “science” the story has been the same: fear of the unknown. That is not a *bad* thing, but excessive unwarranted fear is a problem when unchecked.

When the Fission Bomb was being developed during World War II there was some concern that the bomb would ignite the atmosphere and destroy the earth. Needless to say, the predictions were wrong, but work apparently stopped while the review of the equations was made:

Edward Teller Obit – Igniting the Atmosphere

A little caution is always necessary, but paranoia is never necessary. Outside the physics community it is natural to have concerns about what the scientists are up to, but we need to also be careful to not stifle progress. None of us know *what* benefits will accrue from these experiments, but understanding the way God designed the universe works will have benefits. Of that we can be assured.

I responded yesterday to a message about four earthquakes, and whether they were caused by the Large Hadron Collider. Don’t worry. Earth quakes of varying magnitudes are regular, albeit seemingly random events. I think the earth quakes were more likely caused by my car breakdown, and the consequent towing across that floating bridge we have in Seattle. That released more total energy than what is going on in CERN. The big difference, of course, is that we are focusing a lot of energy in a very small volume of spacetime, all trying to understand God’s creation. There are bigger things to worry about out there.

Here is a funny video about the Large Hadron Collider:

Remember, the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear… so let’s not have a repeat of the famous Galileo controversy when he used the telescope to peer out into the night sky, and noticed that the earth appeared to be in orbit around the sun. Objecting to Galileo’s discovery was not one of the Church’s finest moments.

Lawsuit Filed Against DNC Re: Obama Qualifications

Things are heating up in the presidential campaign. Philip J. Berg, Esquire, a Pennsylvania attorney, has filed a suit against the Democratic National Committee challenging Obama’s qualifications to be President of the United States. Some of you may have been following this story, but it has now become a matter for the courts.

In the USA, the president is required to be a natural born citizen, and that issue is the basis of part of the claim made in the suit. Here is a link below to Philip J. Berg’s website, along with a link to the papers delivered to the DNC and Obama. There are other issues related to his citizenship, so read the details below.

This should be a very interesting election…

Obamacide: Killing the Newborn

Barack Hussein Obama is not content with just abortion and is apparently a strong supporter of infanticide (killing children after birth). Obama has a voting record of extending abortion to the FOURTH TRIMESTER (after birth). He has been busy backpedaling and spinning his votes against the Illinois law to protect the newborn, but the facts are out there. At least he had the guts to actually vote (even if it was the wrong vote, as is his pattern), compared to the other 129 times he voted “present” to avoid anything remotely controversial in his voting record. It is also apparent from his massive “present” voting record that Obama does not consider murdering children as “controversial enough” to vote “present”.

Here is a tip for Mr. Barack Hussein Obama: You can’t vote “present” as the President of the USA, or dodge tough issues that are controversial.

Obamacide. It means, 1) Killing the newborn survivor of a botched abortion through a deliberate act of omission; and, 2) That which a nation commits upon itself by electing one who would allow such a thing.

Here is a link to the article which came up with this excellent definition:
Obamacide

Here are some extracts from the above link:

During a partial-birth abortion, the abortionist pulls a fully developed, fully “viable” child – often kicking and thrashing — feet first from her mother’s womb, leaving only the top of her head in the birth canal. He then stabs her through the skull with scissors or some other sharp object, piercing her brain until her kicking and moving about suddenly and violently jerk to a halt. Her brains are then sucked out — collapsing her skull — and her now limp and lifeless body is tossed aside like so much garbage.
…snip…
Although Obama’s love affair with partial-birth abortion has served to chip away at his finely polished veneer, his opposition to the Born Alive Infants Protection Act (BAIPA) has revealed to the world that backward extremism permeates his marrow.
…snip…
While serving in the Illinois state senate, he led the fight against a state version of Born Alive that was substantively identical to the federal BAIPA. In 2002, BAIPA passed the U.S. Senate with unanimous, bipartisan support; yet, Obama vehemently opposed its Illinois twin. This places him on the furthest fringe of pro-abortion extremes. The man’s devotion to the pro-abortion industry is so fixed that he would rather allow the murder of newborn babies than give an inch to the sanctity of human life.
…snip…
He not only led the charge to allow the continued practice of infanticide in Illinois, he carried the flag.

Here is a good utube video on Obama’s defense of murdering children after they have been born:

Here is a link to the Utube site:
Obamacide: The truth hurts

Of course he is now backpedaling in an attempt to explain away and hide his abysmal voting record in protecting children AFTER Birth. Politicians like Obama with no moral center do things like that.
