Merry Christmas!

God bless all of you this Christmas! The Christmas season is the time we set aside for remembering the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While it comes around only once per year, we need to be in fellowship with Him 365 days a year. There are some that only go to Church on Christmas and Easter, perhaps out of “tradition”, but a real relationship takes work, and time. Relationships are not about “things”, but about time spent with those we love, and about communication and sharing in the joys and pains we all have in life – and so it is with a relationship with God the Father and His Son Jesus. It takes time.

To grow in this relationship takes time and communication with God. So this season, take some time to pray and read God’s Word, the Bible. That is the way we communicate with Him, and He always blesses our attempts at building this relationship. So as you open your Christmas presents, take some time to give thanks to the Great Provider that makes all good things possible. The cost of this blessing is zero, and the benefit is eternal life. So how is that for a cost/benefit analysis!

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2The same was in the beginning with God.

3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

(John 1:1-4, KJV)

Merry Christmas,
Job
