About Our Services:

Our Christian internet service offers E-Mail, Web page design, and Web page forwarding under a variety of Godly internet names -- names like "www.Scripture.Com", "www.Blessed.Com", "www.Christ.Com", or even "www.YAHWEH.Net".

We offer web page service under a collection of Internet domain names for the Lord's people. If you or your organization would like to arrange service under one of these domains, then browse our website, or send us E-mail describing your needs. Tech Stuff...URL's, Domains, and E-Mail

On the Internet, both users and web pages have addresses. The user's E-Mail address generally has the form:

YourName@AOL.Com
YourName@YourAddress.Com
YourName@WorkAddress.Com
YourName@SomeWhere.Address3.MoreStuff.Net

In the above examples, the part after the "@" sign is known as the domain name. For example, "YourAddress.Com" is the Domain Name part of the E-Mail address "YourName@YourAddress.Com". All domain names take this form, although some, like the fourth example above (SomeWhere.Address3.MoreStuff.Net) can be quite complicated.

For web service, the address of a web page might have one of the following forms:

www.LordofHosts.Com
users.AOL.com/somename/
www.Christ.Com/YourChurch/Events.html
www.Somename.AnotherName.Com/YourChurch/News/Events.html
...

In the above, the part before the "/" defines the domain name. Domain names are used for addressing on the Internet - they help us locate computers throughout the web.

We have several domain names available - in witnessing, the ministry, praise, worship... The domains are currently available for web page and E-mail service. We periodically add new domain names to our list, so be sure to check back frequently. For special needs send E-mail.



Domain Entry Screen (e.g., www.Christ.Com)

The name service we offer allows you to have a web page under one of our Christian domains. For example, web page service under the domain "Christ.com" would have the following form:
    www.Christ.com/Yourname     (example Web Page account)
The domain's "top level" home page (e.g., www.Christ.Com) is the screen that comes up when the user asks a browser (like netscape navigator) to retrieve the domain name:

http://www.Christ.Com    ("top level home page")

This top level home page is designed and built by our service, and is only available for use by special arrangement. For example, www.Christ.com is not available for use, since it is our main entry page, although www.Christ.com/YOURNAME may be used for your website. Other domains, like www.Holy-Spirit.com, may or may not be available for lease by special arrangement. The top level home page is not for sale - only the pages under the main home page are typically available for service:

   www.Christ.com/yourname     A customers homepage, using the name

Our only requirement is that the web page content be "G-Rated", and consistent with mainstream Christianity. Whether you want to use one of our domains for hosting web-pages for your Christian construction business, or use it for evangelism, is up to you - just keep it in the spirit of classical Christianity. Our focus is classic biblical Christianity - salvation through Christ Jesus.

The top entry screen will also provide links to the domain's directory of users. The directory includes all internet accounts under the domain name that choose to be listed. You have the option of being listed in this directory ("Listed and Unlisted Service"). We encourage you to list your web pages, since that builds fellowship in the church.

We believe the Lord is blessing our efforts to use His name on the Internet. Having a memorable name can help bring visitors to your website - and help them remember its name later! We pray that using our name service will help you reach out to others with your message - whether in Ministry, Christian business, Arts, Fellowship,...

We can make any type of web services available under any domain, although we specialize in "web page forwarding", and low cost hosting (and mirror sites). This service allows you to have web page names like "www.Christ.com/Yourname" or "www.YAHWEH.net/Yourname".

With web page forwarding, when the user enters your new web page name in his browser (like http://www.Christ.com/yourname), it will automatically be forwarded to your currently existing web page (like http://users.aol.com/somename/somefile.html). We pray that you and your website visitors will be blessed by one of our domain names!

Service Restrictions and Rules:

The domains available through our service are reserved for the use of the people of the LORD. Services under these domains should be Godly.

Web-pages under these domains are subject to review before publication - to ensure that they glorify God. After the automated registration process (which accepts any name not taken), the web pages, web page names, and E-Mail names are reviewed to make sure they are appropriate for our audience (i.e., We prohibit names like "www.Holy.org/profane" or "www.Christ.com/satan", "satan@Christ.com", etc.).

The mail accounts are not to be used for unsolicited broadcasting of E-Mail (also known as spamming or sending of junk mail). This activity is highly discouraged by the Internet community, and accounts engaging in these activities will be terminated immediately, without prior notice, and without refund.

Any use of either the domain websites or E-mail names for illegal purposes is prohibited - remember, these domains are intended for the Lord's people. We cooperate fully with the authorities in tracking down illegal activity.


Web Page Forwarding: General Description

What is URL Redirection - or Web Page Forwarding???

"Web Page Forwarding", also known as "URL Redirection", allows users with web pages like "users.aol.com/somename/somefile.html" to have an alternate name, like "www.Blessed.com/yourname". This is usually easier for you and your friends to remember, and can give you a web page address that is more meaningful - making a statement of faith, and witnessing. Both web page addresses point to the same "real" web page. This practice is quite common on the Internet, and allows you to have requests for one web page (e.g., www.Blessed.com/yourname) automatically return the results of another page (e.g., users.aol.com/somename/somefile.html), and thus has become known as web page forwarding.

Web Page Forwarding (URL Redirection):

   www.Blessed.com/yourname ===> users.aol.com/somename/somefile.html
     ........
                             Or anywhere else on the World Wide Web!



The Internet uses a naming convention (DNS-Domain Name System), to translate domain names (like www.example.com) into numbers - like (207.54.0.62), so the computers can use them. The numbers are called IP numbers, and are used for addresses on the internet (computer web servers, internet dial-up users, Mail,..). The names have historically consisted of groups of letters, numbers, and dashes - all separated by periods! So you can have names like www.Christ.com, www.LordofHosts.com, or www.YAHWEH.net, that more closely relate to you or your ministry - and much easier to remember than 207.54.0.62!


Web Page Forwarding Examples

In this section, we give examples of the two main types of forwarding available through our forwarding service. The two types of forwarding are:
1.Direct Web Page Forwarding
2.Frame Based Web Page Forwarding
Both of these forwarding techniques allow you to choose an address like "www.Christ.com/yourname", and have it forwarded to your current web page, for example at "users.aol.com/somename/somefile.html". Your current web page can be anywhere on the World Wide Web, and still be reached by your new address "www.Christ.com/yourname"! This lets you have a web page address that is easier to remember, and more meaningful.

The following example will illustrate how the two new web page names "www.Christ.com/christdemo" and "www.Christ.com/CHRISTDEMO" can be used to retrieve the original web page at "www.np-complete.com/someuser/stuff/Christ-firstpage.html".

The example we will be demonstrating is illustrated below. The user can type either http://www.Christ.com/christdemo   or   http://www.Christ.com/CHRISTDEMO into the browser location window, and have it automatically forwarded to the users real web page address at http://www.np-complete.com/someuser/stuff/Christ-firstpage.html. Note that either address will be forwarded to the target address. The only difference in this example, is the way the final address is displayed when the target web page is retrieved:

or
http://www.Christ.com/CHRISTDEMO

http://www.np-complete.com/someuser/stuff/Christ-firstpage.html


Now try the two examples below, paying attention to the final address that shows up in the browser window. You have the option of choosing the forwarding type (direct vs. frame-based forwarding) at any time.

Frame-Based Forwarding Example:

http://www.Christ.com/CHRISTDEMO

Notice that the new web address http://www.Christ.com/CHRISTDEMO shows up in the browser window in this example.

Direct Forwarding Example:

http://www.Christ.com/christdemo

Notice that the original web address (the "real" address), http://www.np-complete.com/someuser/stuff/Christ-firstpage.html shows up in the browser window in this example.



Although the current example uses www.Christ.com/CHRISTDEMO for frame-based forwarding and www.Christ.com/christdemo for direct forwarding, it is important to note that either www.Christ.com/CHRISTDEMO or www.Christ.com/christdemo can be configured for either direct or frame-based forwarding. This option can be changed at any time after the account is established.
